Finishing Salts & Rubs

 Hours and hours in the kitchen have led me to creating and perfecting some fabulous rubs and finishing salts. I have always loved playing around with different flavor combinations and I think I have come up with some real winners!

Seeds, herbs, and sea salt...

Savory Seeds

 For: focaccia, pizza, roasts, steaks, pork, add to dips for crackers/chips (let set an hour to soften the seed mixture), roll onto rounds of goats cheese
We had this on homemade focaccia and it brought tears to my eyes....SO good!
Ingredients: unrefined sea salt, seeds include; cumin, coriander, fennel, caraway, sesame, poppy, black mustard, brown mustard, with onion, black pepper, garlic

 Fire Roasted Tomato Salt

For: vinaigrettes, focaccia, potatoes, rice, pasta, salads, soups, dips
Ingredients; fire roasted tomatoes, unrefined sea salt

 3 Citrus Sea Salt

For: chicken, fish, salads, rice, potatoes
Ingredients: unrefined sea salt, orange zest, lemon zest, lime zest

 Cafe Noir Rub
(black coffee rub)

A coffee rub! Who knew it could be so dang good?
This rub has been tested...over and over again.
For: beef, venison, chicken, pork
Rub into meat an hour or so before grilling.
Ingredients: coffee, brown sugar, unrefined sea salt, paprika, black pepper, garlic, onion, sugar, coriander

Rub a Rib Rub

The name says it all!
Sweet & spicy and perfect for ribs of any sort!
Ingredients: sugar, brown sugar, paprika, unrefined sea salt, black pepper, garlic, onion, cayenne, chipotle powder

Spicy Cajun Rub

For: beef, pork, venison, chicken for a spicy kick.
Oven fries, rice,grilled potatoes.
Ingredients: unrefined sea salt, paprika, garlic, onion, thyme, oregano, cayenne, black pepper, bay leaf



Greek Seasoning Salt

For:grilled lamb or chicken kebobs, Greek salad, pasta salad, vegetables, Greek vinaigrette (mix herbs with olive oil, red wine vinegar, and dijon mustard)
Ingredients: unrefined sea salt, oregano, mint, thyme, basil, black pepper, marjoram, onion, garlic


Smoky Paprika Salt

For: oven fries, popcorn, chicken, rice, seafood, eggs
Ingredients: smoky paprika, unrefined sea salt


Smoky Paprika & Chipotle Salt

For: tacos, chicken, chili, beans, rice, anywhere you want a spicy/smoky flavor
Ingredients: smoky paprika, chipotle powder, unrefined sea salt



Shallot & Chive Salt

For: eggs, chicken, popcorn, vinaigrettes, soups, stews
Ingredients: shallots, chives, unrefined sea salt
